We are now doing weekly dev logs, but alternating between our two games. This week, it's all about Prince of Suburbia, and next week we'll give an update on A Shot in the Dark.

V1.0 is now in the capable hands of our testers! We will be releasing a BETA (English-only) of V1.0 to $40+ Patrons and Subscribers starting on Wed, Oct 25. See the first image for the complete Early Release schedule.

We made a lot of coding changes this update, including a complete redo of the GUI (as discussed in this previous dev log). We also are in the process of upgrading the game from Ren'Py 7.4.11 to Ren'Py 8+ and optimizing the game for Steam deck, all of which requires changes to the foundational code of the game.

All that to say, many saves will be broken! We apologize in advance for the inconvenience. We will have an entry point in the Main Menu that takes you right into the V1.0 update so you don't have to start the game from the beginning if you don't want to.

For those of you that do choose to play the game from the beginning, you will find that all of the scenes that were previously missing voice acting now have voice acting, thanks to the talented HaruLuna. We added almost 150 voice acting files with this update, along with more than 55 illustrations and more than 30 animations.

This update will complete Prince of Suburbia - Part 2 and the main story of the game! We are already working on a separate Pregnancy DLC that will release in 2024, for our many pregnancy fans. We are currently polling out the content of those scenes on Patreon and SubscribeStar, so now is your chance to make your voice heard and get a taste of what is coming next year.

Dev logs for the Pregnancy DLC will begin after the main game leaves Early Access on Steam. Our goal is to do that within the first half of 2024.

It's hard to believe this little game that we started in 2017 is finally coming to close! There is still a lot to be done before we say goodbye to the beloved characters and world of Prince of Suburbia, but releasing V1.0 is a huge accomplishment that we are so excited to celebrate with our fans and supporters.
